Season 102 review!

This season may have had its challenges, but we’re excited to share important updates, improvements, and highlights from the game.

Champions

World League 1.1

Wǒ bù pà and Minnesota Timberwolves played a series of fixed games in the finals in order to maximize the ticket revenue from the home games.

The FPC has reviewed the outcomes of fixed games and, after a lengthy discussion, decided to warn the teams on unsportsmanlike behaviour as intentional losses have not been penalized over the years, despite being against the rules of the games.

Starting season 103 intentional losses in WL and NL games will not be tolerated and will be punished by the FPC. We encourage the community to report intentionally lost matches by selecting the cheating team and pressing report unfair behaviour on its page.

Utenos Green Death, despite intentional away losses, won the bronze series against Sun Tzu with result 3:2.

Mad Ghost (223 cm, 394 RT) of Answer has been named MVP of the season, averaging 14 points and almost 7 rebounds efficiency per game. This is the last season on his current 25.000 Eur contract, it seems like the hard work is going to pay back big time next season.

World Cup

China has won the World Cup in a super close defensive battle against the tournament hosting Spain 62:56. The lead by neither team has been above 8 points at any point in the game.

Hong Kong has been a surprise of the tournament, ranked only 8th, they managed to beat Lithuania in a bronze medal game 74:67. This is the first ever country’s bronze, congratulations!

Mad Ghost (223 cm, 394 RT) of China has been named MVP of the tournament, scoring 10 points per game and grabbing 4 rebounds. The stats line might not be super impressive, however 16+/- in only 16 minutes shows how efficient Mad Ghost is.

U18 World Cup

Tournament hosting Lithuania has been a dominant force in the tournament, blowing past Argentina and Latvia in the playoffs by 40+ points wins. The team did not stop in the final and won against China comfortably 67:59.

Hong Kong has followed the footsteps of the senior team and won their first U18 bronze medal ever by beating Latvia 82:71.

Salvijus Potapovas (214 cm, 226 RT) from Lithuania has been named an MVP of the tournament, scoring 25 points and grabbing 5 rebounds in only 20 minutes per game. He has dominated in the top Youth League, is he ready for the senior level already?

2. China. Manager: WelkinLiu

3. Hong Kong. Manager: DogGor

Community News

DanTitan became the new member of Spain's Hall of Fame. We want to thank DanTitan for the vivid pages of BasketPulse Giants magazine! We are already looking forward to the new release!

FPC news

In recent seasons, the administration and the Lithuanian community have struggled to communicate effectively. The actions of the recent federation presidents were harmful, so FPC spots were removed from the Lithuanian federation until a new leader emerges who is genuinely willing to improve the situation.

Season 102 Updates

  • Fixed the bug with incorrect draftee positions.

  • New design of Training page. Two training pages of settings and report were merged into one enhanced training page.

  • Added the ability to block untrusted users from taking volunteering positions.

  • Introduced an option to start federation president election earlier if the president's behavior is harmful.

  • Added a feature to disable mass messages for specific federations’ presidents.

  • Implemented various smaller fixes and improvements.

Match engine updates

Version 1.10

- A bit improved influence of the dribbling skill.

- Fixed bug where last attack often ended without a shot.

Nearest future plans

Unfortunately, due to unexpected issues, we were unable to make significant progress with our previous plans.

  • We will start planning the update of players’ and coaches' individual skills. More information can be found here.

  • The next match engine update will be introduced gradually over a few seasons, aiming to increase the importance of the dribbling skill and review the effectiveness of close-range shots.

  • Include internal updates and improvements of the game system.

  • Update more old-design pages

We wish you exciting and fair season 103!

Personally, I'm not happy with some of the recent changes to the game myself, but why it should be more fun when non-competitive play and contest distortion should be allowed is beyond me Szulim.

I can understand the frustration with the financial iniquities (especially the unbalanced funding in some National Leagues) that are mentioned here. a-Darius has also emphasized that they simply don't have the capacity for a more constructive solution at the moment, because there are constantly new trouble spots that distract from the actual issues.

I'm no longer surprised by anything in this game with its fair play committee, even less transparency when it comes to justifying a canceled exchange... and now with this thing about them punishing with the loss of matches... I think that nowadays if you fart in this game you get a 100k fine, just for anything. -- 103 S 57 j.
