Hello,
we have updated the the way the deflections work in the
test engine. What will change in the game?
What have we changed?
We've reduced the number of deflections
In our game, the ball was deflected by a team an average of 14.8 times per game, in the NBA - 12.7 times. We've reduced the deflection rate and should now average around 12 deflections per game.
New events in the chronology
From now on, teams that lose a lot of possessions due to deflections will try to be more careful. This will lead to more caution and it will be more difficult for the team to create a good situation for a shot, but the chances of a turnover will be reduced.

CHANGES MADE IN THE TEST ENGINE
1. Home team will have some home court advantage even with 0% atmosphere.
2. Deflections and steals adjustments:
- One event instead of two displayed in play-by-play when deflection was done by kicking the ball;
- Reduced the number of deflections;
- Steal after deflection will be granted to the player who deflected the ball (not to the player who caught the ball);
- New event: The team wants to avoid deflections and will try to be more careful this period
- New event: The team wants to avoid steals from opponents and will try to be more careful this period
3. New limit included - how many more points one team can get from lucky shots (accurate/missed) compared to the opponent team. Using this limit we will avoid situations when one team gains big advantage due to luck.
PLANS FOR UPCOMING TEST ENGINE UPDATES
Reduce the amount of turnovers in the game. Even with the updates, teams will average about 16 turnovers per game (now 21). In the NBA, this indicator reaches - 12.4 per game (40 minutes), in the Euroleague - 12.7.
